Urbanspace is owned and operated by Kate Dougherty.  Originally from Pittsburgh, Kate studied Architecture, Urban Studies, and Studio Art at Pitt before earning a Master of Architecture degree at Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago.  Upon returning to Pittsburgh in 2007, Kate landed in the Lawrenceville neighborhood.  She worked for local architecture firms R3A, and Pfaffmann + Associates, before founding Urbanspace LLC in 2011.  Kate’s work is inspired by the Chicago Arts District, and she is passionate about building community within creative spaces.
